Crocheted baby set

My last Crocheted project that I want to share with you all ..
It is crocheted baby set ,which includes a sweater ,baby boots and a hat ...

This is a pattern I used for the sweater and a hat

For the sweater I  started with  a chain of 40 single crochet and made a back side first ,then for the front I made two sides each one starting with 20 single crochet ...For the sleeves I did 35 single crochet in a circle and was crocheting a sleeve in a circle ..

For the booties you can see my previous post and see the video how to make baby booties ...
And for decorative flowers I used something similar to this pattern.I made one flower  first, with red color and then made another flower in white, but smaller then the first one .You can just start with smaller chain with same patter..
Please let me know if you have any questions ,I can write in details on how to make this ,and don't forget to leave your comments !!!!

I made this accessory from brown and beige thick yarns ...It can be cover for a table or a throw ,or I used it as a cover for Ottoman table

The pattern I used , seams difficult but its actually very easy ...It took me few evenings to finish this .It was a challenge to read this pattern ..

Haiti Earthquake Appeal

A massive earthquake has struck the Caribbean island of Haiti. Thousands are feared dead with many more seriously injured.
Please go to Islamic Relief page to Donate .Your donation can save lives
http://www.islamic-relief.com/Emergencies-And-Appeals/emBackground.aspx?emID=66

Islamic Relief has launched an appeal for £1 million to respond to the disaster.

The epicentre of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake was just 16 kilometres from the capital Port-au-Prince. Much of the city is made up of slums and poorly constructed houses that would not be able to withstand an earthquake.

The scale of the disaster is not yet known as all communication lines are currently down. But there are reports that homes, government buildings and hotels have collapsed, with people still being dug out of the rubble.

The earthquake struck at 5pm local time on Tuesday 12th January 2010 and many people have spent the night on the streets. Several strong aftershocks caused further chaos and panic.

Hospitals are struggling to cope with the large numbers of injured people and there is an urgent need for emergency medical care, food, clean water and shelter.

Haiti is the poorest country in the Western hemisphere, and struggles from endemic poverty, food shortages and violence. It has suffered from many recent natural disasters including serious hurricanes and storms in 2008.

Please donate and help us to respond to this disaster.

Recipes

I  found some easy to make and healthy recipes ,that I would like to share .
Eating healthy food is very important for everyone of us . Most of us Muslimas dedicate our lives to our families .So we have to be extra concerned what our family members are eating ,what our children are eating and how healthy it is .
I personally don't like spending too much time on the kitchen .I enjoy doing other things ,especially spending more time on studying my religion or doing my hobbies ,but I do enjoy cooking also .
I prefer to be organazied with food ,this way cooking doesn't keep me busy ,or doesn't take my entire day on cooking and cleaning .
I prefer to plan what to cook for the whole week .I choose the recipes or write down what I will make and put things that we need to buy in a grocery list .
Ok these are few recipes I would like to share with you and this is something I'm planning to make this week inshaAllah
Enjoy :)

8 bone-in chicken thighs, skin removed

1/2 teaspoon(s) salt

1/4 teaspoon(s) coarsely ground black pepper

2 medium green peppers, cut into 1/2-inch pieces

2 clove(s) garlic, crushed with press

1 large onion, chopped

1 tablespoon(s) paprika

2 can(s) (14 1/2-ounce) diced tomatoes

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In 5- to 6-quart Dutch oven, heat oil on medium-high until hot. Sprinkle chicken all over with salt and black pepper; cook, in 2 batches, about 6 minutes per batch, until lightly browned on both sides. With tongs, transfer chicken pieces to small roasting pan (13" by 9") or jelly-roll pan (1 1/2" by 10 1/2").

Cover roasting pan with foil and bake chicken 25 to 30 minutes or until juices run clear when thickest part of thigh is pierced with tip of knife.

Meanwhile, in same Dutch oven, cook green peppers, garlic, and onion about 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in paprika and cook 30 seconds. Add tomatoes with their juice, broth, water, and rice; heat to boiling on high. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 10 minutes. Stir in frozen peas and olives.

Grease two 2- to 2 1/2-quart glass or ceramic baking dishes. Spoon half the rice mixture into each prepared baking dish. Carefully tuck thighs into hot rice mixture. Cover and bake one dish 25 minutes or until rice is tender and most of liquid is absorbed. Fluff rice to serve. Meanwhile, prepare second baking dish for freezing (see Thawing and Reheating Tips).

Instead of Dutch oven you can use normal pan.
